Happy New Year!
2013 will be bringing several exciting new opportunities for me, both professionally and personally and I am looking forward to them.
In the immediate future I will be spending plenty of time raising my puppy Sandy. She’s the newest member of my family and is only three months old so has plenty of growing to do. I’m expecting her to be a very good sized lab/pointer mix when she is all grown up. A perfect companion for the many hikes that are coming up this year throughout the Catskills.
I expect to use this blog to help promote things I am working on professionally and provide more information on things that I am working on. In addition to being the Program Coordinator for the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference in the Catskill Mountains, I am a monthly Contributing Writer for the Catskill Mountain Region Guide Magazine, writing the The Great Outdoors in the Catskills column every month. I am also a Board Member of the Catskill Mountain Club, which is an all-volunteer grass-roots organization dedicated to providing a wide range of outdoor group activities throughout the Catskill Mountain region while promoting and supporting improved public outdoor recreational opportunities and facilities while still preserving natural resources within the Catskill Park.
I also have several other exciting professional opportunities that I will begin working on with the new year. As 2013 unfolds, more and more details of these endeavors will be coming out as I get started on them.
Here is to an exciting 2013!
